Musiqa celebrates 100th performance of “Around the World with Musiqa”

On October 25, 2017, Musiqa presented its 100th show of “Around the World with Musiqa.” Introduced in 2004 “Around the World with Musiqa” is an original production created by the Musiqa composers that uses modern arrangements of folk songs to teach students musical concepts. The show is presented annually at the Hobby Center for the Performing Arts’ Discovery Series.

Public Concert Series

Downtown Concert Series

Musiqa creates innovative concert experiences that pair new music with literature, film, theatre, visual arts and dance with collaborating organizations such as the Houston Ballet, Houston Cinema Arts Society, Alley Theater, Inprint, FotoFest, Aurora Picture Show and Noble Motion Dance.

LOFT Concert Series

Musiqa presents free informal performances of modern classical music presented in the context of a contemporary art setting. Presented in collaboration with the Contemporary Arts Museum Houston.
Education Programs

Education Programs

Musiqa’s nationally acclaimed Education Program is one of the largest of its kind in the nation for an ensemble our size. Every year, we reach over 6,000 school children in grades 2 through 12, from 60 different schools across eight area school systems, in the Greater Houston area.
