Our innovative collaborations and educational programming make modern repertoire accessible and vital to audiences of all ages and musical backgrounds.
Musiqa creates innovative concert experiences that pair new music with literature, film, theatre, visual arts and dance with collaborating organizations such as the Houston Ballet, Houston Cinema Arts Society, Alley Theater, Inprint, FotoFest, Aurora Picture Show and Noble Motion Dance.
Musiqa presents free informal performances of modern classical music presented in the context of a contemporary art setting. Presented in collaboration with the Contemporary Arts Museum Houston.
Musiqa’s nationally acclaimed Education Program is one of the largest of its kind in the nation for an ensemble our size. Every year, we reach over 6,000 school children in grades 2 through 12, from 60 different schools across eight area school systems, in the Greater Houston area.
