More and more suggestions for teachers are being posted on-line. The Young Audiences web-site includes many links to music-related education sites, with suggestions for lesson plans, creative exercises, etc.
The Connexions project at Rice University is an on-line educational resource that contains numerous musical topics designed for K-12 students. All Connexions materials are available free of charge, may be reproduced and distributed at will, and may be easily printed out from the web-site.

The Houston Symphony performs regular subscription concerts, as well as youth programs at venues throughout the greater Houston area.
The Houston Grand Opera presents a subscription series of classical and modern operas.
